Epic Custom Homes has now completed their 8th St. Jude Dream Home for the Tulsa area. Epic owners Jeff Starkweather and Kirk Murdoch have once again created a dramatic home for this annual fundraiser.
A limited number of $100 raffle tickets will be sold. While the home is the grand prize there are several additional valuable prizes including a $10,000 furniture shopping spree courtesy of FFO Home whose furnishings are featured throughout the home.
Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, which partnered with The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis in mid-2016. This new partnership is the first in Oklahoma and a true extension of the St. Jude system of clinics.
This year’s home, valued at approximately $625,000, features four bedrooms plus a custom game/media room with balcony seating, three and one-half bathrooms and approximately 4,200 square feet of living space plus a three-car garage on a large lot in beautiful Stone Canyon. As you approach and enter the home you will take immediate notice of the modern farmhouse style with wrap-around front porch with cabled railing, spacious entry and vaulted living room ceiling.
The home is built through donations of time and materials provided by many local suppliers. The kitchen features a beautiful dark transitional style cabinetry donated by Wooden Solutions Custom Cabinetry. This is the eighth consecutive year that the company has provided cabinetry throughout the entire dream home. With a diverse range of design capabilities, Wooden Solutions is capable of turning your home into a “dream home” too.
The large master suite features a luxurious walk-in shower and distinctive soaking tub and a spacious master closet complete with FamilySafe saferoom and a direct connection to the laundry room.
Additional local providers found in this issue of Nuredo magazine include Tulsa Winnelson, Discount Garage Door and Barbee’s Heat & Air. Major construction donors also include Upside Interiors, Building Solutions, Eagle Redi-Mix, Southwest Stone, and Full Circle C Service. Please refer to the bottom of this page for the complete list of construction donors.
Epic combines style and design with energy saving techniques. Both Jeff and Kirk have taken the extra steps to become certified HERS raters and build every home to meet or exceed the toughest energy standards. The home features foam insulation and high-efficiency heat and air systems.
